The DV-220KV can upscale video signals from 480i/p to a maximum of 1080p HDMI
output, allowing you to enjoy standard definition video sources in HD
resolution. Also features Pioneer's 2-3 Pull-down PureCinema Progressive Scan
Technology, which accurately inserts additional frames to the DVD data for
natural, film-like images.
HD JPEG
With the DV-220KV, you can view HD JPEG, the latest format for viewing
megapixel images with enhanced resolution via HDMI connection to an HDTV.
DivX Video Playback
Features the latest DivX certification, allowing playback of exciting contents
such as
Hollywood movies. The units support playback from USB
as well as DVD-R/RW/ROM and CD-R/RW/ROM discs, offering flexible media
options.
Versatile Parameters for Video Control
Pioneer DVD players feature the Video Adjust function which allows versatile
image control for customized picture quality. You can adjust Sharpness,
Brightness, Contrast, Gamma,
Hue, and Chroma Level.
HDMI Interface
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is an uncompressed, all-digital
audio/video interface. For example, combine the DVD player with the latest
Pioneer A/V receiver and a flat screen TV, and HDMI's all-digital signal
processing gives you superior pictures and sound with no loss.
USB Terminal
This useful feature allows the playback of DivX videos, JPEG photos and music
files from USB mass storage class devices
CD Ripping
Without the need for a PC, you can directly record songs from CDs to USB
drives. The data is stored in MP3 format with the choice to choose the bit
rate from 128/192/320 kbps. You may copy the whole album or select tracks.
Create CD sound quality in only three steps
The Sound Retriever significantly improves compressed audio quality to the
level of CD sound in 3 steps (high/low/off), by creating new signals to
restore minor details left out during the compression process. The feature is
effective for both analogue and digital output, and upgrades MP3/WMA sound
closer to the original master.
